barq333's Horse
- Name
- Simply Musical
- References
- The Oldenburg was originally established to produce high-quality carriage horses and cavalry mounts. Often described as expressive in their movement; they have elegant heads; well-muscled powerful frames; high-set, muscular necks and long legs. These characteristics make them a favorite in the dressage and jumping worlds. The colors of the Oldenburg Horses include chestnut, bay, brown, black and grey. The cream allele is present but very rare in the population. White markings are quite common, and even tobiano exists within the breed. As several stallions with tobiano have been approved for breeding, the pattern is likely to persist.
